One of my favorite things to do is find random fan covers of songs on YouTube.  Most of the time, you come across pretty impressive stuff, along with some not so impressive… Here are a few of my favorite’s!

Superstar – Luther Vandross covered by Airto

This guy has some pipes on him – REALLY puts the original to the test, but this isn’t really about which is better, this is just really an authentically great sounding guy!  His youtube channel is FILLED with fantastic covers… Check it out!

Hey Ya (Mat Weddle/Outkast Cover) (Cover) by jeffwalker3

Yes its a cover of a cover, but this kid has some talent!  It also has great recording quality that is hard to find in a lot of youtube covers… Good job son!

Journey – Don’t Stop Believing (Piano Cover) by Pianomusings

I keep this one close at hand when I need some great piano action, this guy creates a fantastic cover of a fantastic cover… And to top it off you can hear the words in your head as your listening, its kinda creepy – try it out.

32 songs in 8 minutes by Freddie25

This A.D.D. friendly collection of covers does not disappoint. Can’t think of a song you really want to hear? Turn this video on and it will satisfy your need for randomality. For a special treat cut to 2min 30sec into the song, its fan-freakin-tastic.

Daughters – John Mayer Cover by bgarland2009

Ok, I’ll be honest, this is my best buddy Brandon… So I might be a bit partial, but had to throw a wild card in here right?  Check it out, might just like what you hear! Bonus, wanna hear his XGF freak out on him? Check this out.

Hot in Here (folk cover) by Neutralmilkinstereo

This one doesn’t make the list for singing quality, but these guys do know how to dress!

Hallelujah – Jeff Buckley (#5893475 on YouTube) by mynameiskate3

Not the best Hallelujah cover out there, but the introduction makes it worth listening to. Angry english chicks are pretty hot, what can I say?

Best I Ever Had (Acoustic Cover) – Donna, Ruby, and Anna by sheselle

This is just a all around awesome cover – Not any video which kinda sucks, BUT if anyone can make a song un-suck they get mad props from me. (Read as: the original is not my favorite) Oh and extra credit for singing in a different language 3 minutes into it… SO awesome.

Hey Jude by kladblog

REMEMBERR TO WRET HERR INTO UR HART… Ok chances you are, your one of the 11 million who’s seen this, but I cant get enough of this kid!  Serious cute factor, kills all the other Hey Jude Covers out there.

Kanye and Charlie AUTO TUNED! by barelypolitical

Not technically a cover, but definitely worth adding to this list.
